The Doran Road Project proposes to develop 7 acres of land owned by the Town of Wayland for the purpose of

building additional public housing.  The Project was proposed to provide additional low cost housing units in Wayland.  Neighbors, while not opposing additional low cost housing in the Town do object to the location largely due to the disproportionate amount of low cost housing located in Cochituate, the current high housing density and notion that the site might be better used to mitigate, rather than aggravate, conditions on Dudley Pond.

The land includes a point that juts out into the East End of Dudley Pond and is a part of the only undeveloped area at that end of the Pond.
