It’s definitely Spring

April 13, 2008

It’s exactly 30 years since I moved to Lake Road Terrace and for a number of years we heralded Spring when the Wood ducks showed up in the trees along the Lake – a site that still looks a bit ridiculous.
In the past few years the Wayland-Weston Crew have beat them to it.
I was reminded [...]

January 5, 2008

I added a summary of the Superfund site at Natick Labs with some good links to detailed information. It is a good reminder that the Health and Human Services Fish Advisory is still in effect based on PCBs. I will try to get more details on this. There is an excellent site [...]

I’ve continued to add content..

January 4, 2008

You will notice that I added a number of maps under “Threats” and I have created maps for each of the Ponds. I also tripped on a few more threats and we need to create more detailed descriptions of each (any volunteers?).
One that looks under-reported is the new Cloverleaf Apartments off Chrysler Road. [...]

We’ve created a Wiki

December 27, 2007

We’ve added a Wiki for documentation and as a knowledge base of what is and isn’t working in other lakes and ponds.  I’ve already started work on loading the State’s guide and plans and could use some help if anyone already knows how to edit a Wiki or is willing to learn (I did it [...]
